Don Rickles Biography

 Don Rickles was an American stand up comedian as well as an author and actor. He was one of the most admired and well-known talents in the entertainment industry. His quick wit and humorous remarks, paired with his genuine concern for his audience, made him an irresistible combination that brought joy, laughter and enjoyment. Because of his ability to make insults sound funny and inoffensive he was a regular at celebrity roasts. Because his insults were cruel and hurtful, he drew lots of attention and the person who received them would have a great time. Although he started as a regular comedian and did pre-rehearsed jokes at first, he changed his plans after realizing that his impromptu jokes were more well-known than the prepared material. He was loved by many, including Frank Sinatra. In addition to appearing in numerous films and TV shows, he had recorded two comedy albums. He was awarded numerous awards, including a "Lifetime Achievement" award at The Comedy Awards. He was a stand-up comedian and earned a number of nicknames, including "The Merchant of Venom", 'The Insultan' 'Mr. In order to earn a living Rickles started doing stand-up comedy. He eventually became known as an  insult comedian. In the 1970s, he began with a pivotal role in the movie "Kelly's Heroes" (1970) which starred Clint Eastwood. He was a part of a number of comedies on television such as 'The Dean Martin Roasts (1973) and  The Don Rickles show' (1972). Barbara Sklar was Don Rickles his wife on the 14th of March, 1965. Their two children were Mindy and Larry. Their son died in 2011. His best acquaintance was Bob Newhart and the two often went on vacation together along with their wives. They were on various shows, including "Newhart" as well as Don Rickles passed away from kidney disease at his Beverly Hills home on April 6, 2017.
