Kari Matchett Biography

Kari Matchett Kari Matchett, an Canadian actor, is known for her roles in films such as 'Apartment Hunting "Men with Brooms" and 'The Tree of Life'. She was born and raised in Spalding Saskatchewan. After high school she moved to Alberta. She began to pursue acting as a pastime in her teens. To further enhance her acting education, she attended the National Theatre School' in Montreal, and then the Moscow Theatre School'. In 1996, she made her television debut as a character in the Canadian series called 'The Rez. In 1996, she was a supporting role in the series from Canada titled "The Rez.' In the latter part of 1990, she made her debut in film in the form of the film "Papertrail" and then acted in films like "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." In addition, she played supporting roles in series' such as 'A Nero Wolfe Mystery' and  Blue Murder.' She was also in film through the 2000s, but her appearances on film were much less than her TV roles. In 1998 she played the lead role of 'Colleen blessed' on the Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The show was on for two seasons and 26 episodes, and was highly praised by critics as well as advertisers. The actress was nominated for the  Gemini Award' for her performance in the series. Jude Lyon Matchett became her first child in June of 2013. She did not disclose the name of the father of her son though. According to certain sources the father of her son was her ex-boyfriend. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke was in his mid-1990s, and they began dating. They were finally married in 1998. However, the marriage was not long-lasting and the couple divorced in 2006.
