Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan was born on March 23 in 1976. She is well-known for her roles in the films Kiss Bang Bang (2006), Gone Baby Gone (2007, Made of Honor (2008)), Trucker (2008) and Source Code (2011). Her character was Julia Meade, the main character in Mission: Imperfible's action-spy series Mission: Impossible (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) was recognized. Monaghan also starred in the debut season of True Detective (2014) as Maggie Hart. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award, Best Supporting Actress. She also starred as Sarah Lane in the drama series The Path (2016-18). Monaghan played Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah which was pulled after just one season. Monaghan was the child of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Her older brothers are, Bob and John. Monaghan is from Irish and German descent was raised Catholic and graduated from East Buchanan High School 1994. After graduation, Monaghan relocated to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree and later began modeling. Modeled in Milan, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong, as well as in the United States. After one semester to finish her journalism degree in 1999, she left for New York to pursue an acting career. She began her career as a model. Her first TV credits, as a secondary character, were in episodes of Young Americans in 2000. Her second appearance on television was in Law & Order: Special Victims Unified , in "Consent" that aired on January 19, 2001. Monaghan also made her debut on screen in Perfume that year in the role of Henrietta. In 2002, she was again in a supporting role in Unfaithful in which she starred Richard Gere & Diane Lane.
