Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress from the United States. She is best known for her role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been recognized with the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a household that moved often, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father who were artists, she began studying painting, drawing, and architecture from the age of a child. In her pursuit of the art of the visual, she found a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater in the course of her college. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While in college, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the encouragement from her acting teacher. To make her stand out she took on various ancillary roles within D.C.'s theater industry. The result was some important performances in local theater however, she had to work odd jobs to pay the bills and she was cast in various short instructional industrial films. Then, she began to land roles on television productions. She was often seen in roles that were "very wry and sarcastic" like her idol Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after only one to two seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love-interest for Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
