Jillian Noel Hennessy

   Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25, 1968 is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her lead character. She was also an actor in films such as RoboCop 3 or Most Wanted as well as independent films Chutney Popcorn, which she co-directed. Hennessy was a native of Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and a sales/marketing executive. This position required many trips and resulted in frequent family relocations. Her mother, Maxine, a secretary, left the family in 1982, leaving her daughter partially taken care of by her paternal grandmother Eleanor, in Kitchener, Ontario. She has a younger brother named John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and a identical twin sister named Jacqueline, who is an editor for magazines and a TV show host in Canada. Hennessy's ancestral ancestry includes Irish, French, Swedish and Italian heritage from her father's side and mostly Ukrainian Roma on her mother's. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She would busk in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy and her sister were the first to appear as twin call girl in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's sister, revealed that she was shortlisted for The X-Files for Dana Scully's part. Hennessy also played the character of Dr. Marie Lazarus on RoboCop 3. In 1993 Dick Wolf signed Hennessy to the role as Claire Kincaid assistant district attorney in the show Law & Order. The role was occupied for three seasons until she quit the show in the year 1996.
