Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She played Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! From 2009 to 2010, she played Becky Richards on Teletoon's children's show Majority Rules! Then she starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012 to 2014, for which she received an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She was Annika Johnson in the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the main character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, restaurant owners George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. The family moved to her father's hometown, Skala, Greece south of Sparta only a few years after she was born, and returned to Canada in 1992. Spiridakos is incredibly that she is a part of her Greek heritage, and she is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school. Later, she was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos relocated from Winnipeg in 2007 to pursue acting. She got her first TV appearance on Supernatural within a matter of weeks. The actress worked on television for the next few years and was offered parts in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos played in the TV movie Goblin as well as the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos was also a part of Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first role in a starring part as Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl, on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her first feature film appearance was in 2011 in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi's character on Rags (2012) in the Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was then offered the main role in Revolution as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in a dystopian society) which aired on NBC television. The audition took place while she was taking part in her pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance on the pilot, she was nominated to the Saturn Award for Best Actress on television. She lost out to the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. In the second season, production was moved to Austin Texas.
