Rashida Jones

Rashida Jones was the younger daughter of media producer, mogul, Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton. Kidada Jones is her older sibling. There are five half-siblings through other relationships with her father. Her father is African-American . her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of refugees from Russia and Latvia). Rashida was born into Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California. Jones declared that her mixed race heritage was not recognized by society until the 1970s. Jones made her acting debut professionally with The Last Don in 1997 an animated mini-series, which was influenced by Mario Puzo. Rashida has also graduated from Harvard University in 1997.
