Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a director, actor, and musician who has directed many episodes of TV such as The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. She was also the Co-EP/Producing Director for Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018), and has been tapped to direct two pilots that are in development. Milena was one of eight women who were selected by AFI's most prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable, her short film as well as a television series proof of concept, was premiered at SXSW. It also won Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at the SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has played across the country and won the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest as well as the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor, Milena has been featured in more than 100 shows of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She also appeared on the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) that led to her role as the initial and only female detective on the Emmy-winning TV series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena is also a part of numerous films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015) with the lead with Method Man; and the movies Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is an Norman, Oklahoma native. When she was valedictorian at her high school She went on to earn two majors in singing and premed along with minors in violin and dance at the University of Central Oklahoma. After graduation, Milena utilized her classical ballet training to take part on Broadway in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
