Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her father. Sarah is the middle child. She has one older sister, Natasha Chalke and one younger sister, Piper Chalke. Sarah's debut as an actor was City Boy (1992), which was a TV-produced movie. Following her debut film Sarah auditioned for the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was searching for someone to fill in for Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 and began filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). In 1996, she appeared in two movies which included Robin of Locksley (1996) as well as Stand Against Fear (1996) in which she played the cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was invited to perform in a 1998 show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This happened one year after Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) on which the show was also based. Sarah assumed Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She told her she was looking to leave acting and go to university. (2001) (1993-1997) She played the older sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988), but is younger in real life. Participated in 1999 CCMA Awards ceremony, and was awarded the award for the top single. [September 1999] At age 8 appeared in Vancouver theatre productions. A native speaker of French and German. She helps out at a hospital where sick children are treated and also works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke enjoys cooking with her friends (especially Thai or sushi) she also plays the guitar as well as climb, ski (she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer, and both her parents are mediators and run a child adoption agency. Her parents took her to China to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
