Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on 5 September 1973, is an American actress. McGowan's
debut in film was the comedic Encino Man (1992), however, she received more
attention for her performance in The Doom Generation (1995) which earned her an
Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. McGowan's debut
came in the horror movie Scream in the year 1996. In the following years, she
was the main character in Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) as well
as Going All the Way (1997). In the early 2000s, McGowan became known to the
public via her role in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural drama
series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also the main character in Quentin
Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) which
for which she was nominated for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the
Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. The album she released her debut album on,
Planet 9, was released in the year of 2018. It was followed by a repackaging of
Planet 9 in 2020. In 2017 Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence
Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for speaking out against sexual
harassment and assault, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual
abuse cases as well as the Me Too movement. In 2018, she published Brave an
autobiography, as well as appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary
series.
