Rochon was born and raised in Torrance. Rochon was the daughter of Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) as well as Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Ullerup's debut role was of Julia Brynn on the remake television series of Battlestar Galactica in 2006, which aired on the Sci Fi Channel. She played Ashley Magnus for the first season as well as the second one on Sanctuary before her character was created. Her character was subject to heated discussion amongst fans who wanted her to return in future shows. But, the show was removed in the year 2012. Ullerup made an appearance on Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup was the character Maggie Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact, the movie about the 2015 disaster. Ullerup's regular role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series is Dale Travers since 2016.
